On the morning of June 27, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the County People's Congress Standing Committee Feng Yanqiang, along with Liu Tao, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Civil Affairs Bureau, visited our association for research and guidance. Foundation directors, former Director of the Land Bureau Shi Fengbao, Foundation director Li Dianlin, and Shishengwei, Director of the Listing Office at Fuyang Company accompanied them.
Shi Shengwei first introduced the basic situation and work progress of the Fuyang Education Development Foundation to the attending leaders. After listening to the report, Feng Yanqiang fully affirmed the work and achievements of our association and provided guiding opinions for the next steps of our work.
The Pingyuan County Fuyang Education Development Foundation is a non-public fundraising foundation established in January 2020 with a donation of 2 million yuan from Shandong Fuyang Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Since its establishment, it has mainly carried out more than 30 public welfare activities, including funding outstanding students, rewarding excellent college entrance examination candidates, awarding (assisting) outstanding teachers (especially those in financial difficulty), supporting underprivileged students, donating books, and visiting and comforting old party members in the education sector as well as their surviving family members on the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party. It has awarded or assisted over 1,000 students and more than 500 teachers. The annual amount of public welfare funding exceeds 1.8 million yuan. Additionally, nearly 2,000 items such as suitcases and study supplies have been distributed as motivational awards to excellent college entrance examination candidates and outstanding students.
